Hello all, I'm still chasing soundcard knowledge for use with a SDR -
the softrock group of radios. I use Winrad for my receiving SDR
program, and expect to use Rocky or PowerSDR program when I move to
transmitting.

I've been looking at USB 2.0 external cards to use with my Toshiba
P205D notebook running VISTA 32. I've read that even USB 2.0 is not
the best choice for sound card interface for SDR - that firewire is
better. My P-205D seems to have an i.Link port rather than Firewire.
I read they are the same - is this true?

Can I buy a Firewire card and expect it to work on my Toshiba i.Link?

Any and all comments appreciated.
