I'm not sure what could be the issue here, maybe there is a problem with finding the name of your machine? can you manually find ' http://carlos-OptiPlex-790:8080/solr' ? Maybe if you set the "host" parameter in solr.xml ( http://wiki.apache.org/solr/SolrCloud#SolrCloud_Instance_Params ) to 127.0.0.1, or your ip? I'm not sure if this will help, just some ideas.
