Having done fire protection of various paint manufacturers facilities, I
have found that the ingredients of hydrocarbon based paints varies
greatly, even within the same manufacturers various paint lines. Some
paints use cellulous nitrate based pigments while others use various
mineral based pigments with various solvent carriers.

You are right someone will need to convince Lubrizol to try to test the
paint on the CPVC pipe. Or maybe ask Lubrizol to produce CPVC
BlazeMaster in more architecturally friendly colors.

Have a fire safe day.

It isn't very helpful in that it tells me all non latex paints must be
individually reviewed. We have tried latex paint but it doesn't work
very well. It seems like we need to pick a paint submit it and if no
good keep trying. I would have exepected the compatibility site could
tell me what to look for in a paint.
