Non-concur - You now have a combustible concealed space. Well, caveat of I
don't know of a translucent panel that meets the definition for the exceptions.
So which exception of '10-13-8.15.1 do you think it meets to eliminate the
head?

I admit to being nit-picky, especially the smaller the sky-light. But I have
seen 30' x 30' rooms with translucent panels in place of typical ACT. Not so
nit-picky in those cases.

Subject: Skylights

I have a project where the skylights are more than 32 sq.ft. in area which
normally

would require sprinkler protection, my project has a translucent panel attached
at the roof

line sealing off the skylight thus eliminating a ceiling pocket.

My thoughts since there is not a ceiling pocket then sprinklers would not be
required for this

type of skylight.

Any opinions?
