Hello all. That point about longevity holds true as far as I have seen here. At the mill where I am working we have some old Deutz TDI w/Generators, big beast, their weight is 19,5 Ton, the generator weight is 4,5 Ton, some were built in the ''70 and they were running 24 h/7d until 1986. They are still in working conditions. The rotation speed is only 375 rpm because here we use 50 Hz. For countries where 60 Hz is the standard, it should be running at 450 rpm.
