Web Applications Development Lead
We are looking for a Web Applications Developer to work in a small
team to develop custom
applications using the web as a scalable deployment platform for
complex
vertical solutions. Expert-level proficiency required in PHP5, object
oriented programming, and object persistence frameworks such as
Propel.
Familiarity needed with agile development methods, and tools such as
Subversion, Eclipse, etc to facilitate and coordinate effort.

Aspects of this job include:
* Application Implementation
- Installing/configuring/extending existing solutions, including:
- content management systems
- ecommerce applications
- CRM solutions
- workflow/groupware systems
* Software Architecture
- Designing class structures
- Using and adapting design patterns
- Documenting and conveying designs, ERD, etc
* Developing Code
- PHP5 and object-oriented programming
- Use of PHP tools and frameworks (Symfony, Zend, Propel/Doctrine)
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- SQL
- Version control ie. Subversion, IDE ie. Eclipse
- Extending and enhancing in-house software assets
- Code/application documentation
- QA
Qualifications:
- Expert in PHP5 and object-oriented programming
- Expert in current PHP tools and frameworks (Symfony, Zend, Propel/
Doctrine)
- Experience with implementing common PHP application packages
(Joomla, Drupal, Magento, Feng Office, Sugar CRM)
- Strong background in development best practices (code repository,
ticketing systems, QA process)
- Experience with agile/iterative development methodologies
- Experience in consulting services strongly desired - working
towards real-world business requirements and priorities within tight
budgets and timescales

- Can identify client needs, steps to complete tasks, self-manage

This position is based in Knoxville, TN, and is full-time hourly,
guaranteed 40-hour minimum weeks, with benefits. We have a flexible
work
