I just stumbled on the following behavior: >>> type(eye(2)) <class′sympy.matrices.dense.MutableDenseMatrix′> >>> type(sympify(eye(2))) <class′sympy.matrices.immutable.ImmutableMatrix′> Is this supposed to work that way or is it a (minor) Bug?
