I *so* think this is true. I am delighted by the way the AVG plug-in
works. So much better than trapping behind the scenes or locking it
away at an OS/Socket level. I am given full control over it and the
final disposition of the infected material. I can safely inspect and,
well, do whatever I want with the entire message and content without
any nanny-ware thwarting my every move and gesture.

This is super-relevant when, as happened in March, two major AV
suppliers issued faulty database updates that started to give false
positives on fairly vital (to me) system components and quarantined
them without a by-your-leave.
