Hi,

On a swag I went to fedoracore for kde and searched for "on-screen keyboard". I
found several entries. One pointed me to a writeup at
https://doc.qt.io/qt-5/qtvirtualkeyboard-deployment-guide.html. I found an
environment variable mentioned, "QT_VIRTUALKEYBOARD_DESKTOP_DISABLE". I
experimented with this by adding it and '=true' to the command line to start
firefox. IT WORKED!

As far as I know, my screen is NOT a touch screen system so I'm guessing that
the detection mechanism is not functioning properly?

I have been unable to figure out what I might have doneĀ  to cause this
behavior. I have added this to my .bashrc.

Best regards,

George...
