The above actually uses several quite large electrolytic. It is a
good example of why you NEED to use them.
Maybe someone can post a schematic of a simple 5V 5A power supply
that does NOT use any electro caps.
WHat ripple/regulation?
3 phase power and no filter gives you 8% ripple.
