Yes, me too. The warmth is great.
Muscles and joints don't cease up so easily as in the winter time. We have
just had a heat wave here too although we do not get the humidity. We do
not have nor do we want air conditioning. It cools off most nights here
and it seems that the way our home is situated we get a breeze in the night that
comes in our south side of the house and cools things off. We close off
all the windows on the southside of the house during the day. This seems to work
for us.
Winter is for snuggling up to the
fireplace.

TM
Me too. I'll take heat over cold, any day - except for
ice! I have a very tough time walking on dry ground (even with cane). However,
too much heat is also hard for me. Here on Long
Island we are just coming out of a heat wave - - the humidity was
brutal!

I find the heat much easier to deal with than the cold. The cold
makes me more fatigued and chilled to the bone and stiff! I welcome the
warmth! *cheers for a new subject!*

Since
the onset of TM, I have found it impossible to be out in the
heat. Several years ago I mentioned this to my neuro. He said that a lot
of people with spinal cord injuries have this reaction and told me I
can get a medical discount from my utility company (which I do) to help
with my increased need for a/c.
Today my daughter wanted me to go
shopping with her. I told her I couldn't due to the heat. I decided to
find out why the heat bothers me so much now. I used to be a sun
worshipper, always had a deep tan (I know now, bad for me), and delivered
mail in So. Calif in 100+ degree weather with no ill effects. So I did
some research & found this article.
I hope this helps someone
else.
Now I know it's not all in my head!!!!!!!!
