For about my first year of having TM, it always seemed as though I was smelling burnt wood. At first, I thought it was the atmosphere in the hospital, but I went into a nursing facility, and it smells the same there. After the nursing facility came home, and for a brief time, I smelled it at home. I don't smoke anymore, but I think about that every now and then.
