It is not only my feet that get really hot sometimes. My legs do too. I have my sewing machine, serger, computer etc in the loft of our house. It is nice and bright perfect for sewing. However, there are times that not only do my feet get hot but the rest of me too, especially my legs. My husband just chuckled one time when he came up to his computer. There I was sewing in my undies. It felt cooler on my legs for sure. I even have a big fan up here that helps too. I told him that I do this quite often it is just that he didn't see me. We have a half wall that no one sees past. However, I have had to move as fast as I could (think snail) if someone rings the doorbell. Have to put on the slacks and get to the door before someone leaves. Thank goodness for the solid half wall though as the rest of the wall is just spindles. I also have trouble in the middle of the night. Many a night I have gone to bed with a long sleeved nightgown on as it is chilly in the house and then half way through the night I have to get up and change to a sleeveless cotton one as I'm too darn hot. We sleep with our window open year round too (even in dead of winter) and the same thing happens. I read somewhere that our bodies don't sweat below our lesion. As Frank (our resident guru) said one time that our thermostats are broken and they just go up and up till they hit the top then they can go way way down till they hit that bottom. Something to that effect anyway.

Just got in and couldn't wait to take my shoes off. My feet are on fire.
Thank you too all of you that have shared your stories regarding hot feet or
cold feet. :) It nice to know that I'm not going crazy and that you
understand. It's been a year since I was diagnosed and my symptoms are much
less then many I have heard so I really do try not to complain. I'm so
thankful for everything that I do have and want to be strong so I can help
others.

Thanks again!

them as best you can. Rick inTN.

It's easy to adjust to the fatigue caused by the summer heat - naps are
nice! However, I haven't found any adjustment for the extra pain caused by
the winter cold.
I gave up on wearig my AFO brace because my feet burned too much. My
neuro admitted that he hears of burning feet from a lot of his patients. I
like some sort of slip-on shoe that I can take off as soon as I'm sitting
down.

Since I'm fairly new with the TM everyone's input has really been helpful. Sometimes I think I'm going crazy as symptoms come and go or change, then
I
read the comments and many of you are having the similar experience.

Heat seems to make my fatigue worse also and I've been getting these hot
flashes in my feet. My feet get so hot I have to take my shoes off at
times.

Heat also makes my fatigue worse and often leads to a flare.

I do not feel the cold unless I am unwell.

Extremes of heat OR cold affect me badly.

Heat makes my fatigue worse, and generally feel weak.

Cold causes my pain to be worse.
