A great way to strengthen your core is to get one of the large exercise balls 
and if you are able to just sit on it for an hour or so each day.  I can only 
do about 15 minutes at a time, but it seems to help with my back spasms too.

Would you mind sharing the core strengthening exercises you use?  I need to do
that also.  I lost maybe 50 pounds in the last six months, (mostly from stress 
after
having to give my Mom cpr), and I think I lost a lot of muscle.
