Kevin, I understand your fear at seeing your mom like this. It is a hard and
cruel situation. Of course, you and your mom have our prayers.

Hello Kevin,

I'm so sorry - of course you are scared, she's your mom. I totally agree with
Ella - music, books etc - "anything but leave her alone in her head". Ella is
right on point here. My dad had a stroke many years ago, was depressed and non
responsive to all of us. I took some of his favorite music to his room and
played it all day. By the end of the day, we could all see the difference. It
was small, but it was there.
I will keep both you and your mom in my prayers.

Linda

    Hello Kevin,
Of course I will keep your mother (and you) in prayer. I had guardianship
of an elderly cousin (I was 35 and she 83) who was in the same state of mind as
your mom yet when the doctors could not think of what to do, I had them to
place a feeding tube so she would have nourishment and liquids. Have they
suggested this for you? Another thing to think about doing is to have them play
some music that she loved or maybe read a book, look at pictures...anything but
leave her alone in her head. Be blessed and take care........Ella
