The compiler team is getting ready to start marking debug information with the SHT_SUNW_DEBUG section type. I warned them they will need to test on older versions of Solaris to see where that extension is available. This is just a heads up. This change in the compilers would not be visible externally until a release some time next calendar year, so it's not imminent.
