This size increase seems rather "excessive". I've filed "6692427 excessive bloat with -g". Perhaps we'll hear from the compiler folks on how to trim things down. One engineer questioned whether the "-xglobalstatic Qoption" was sufficient to help, but I've not been unable to find any documentation as to how to use this, or what it does. -- Rod
