I appear to be on a case insensitive file system (OS X) and it will only show one of the two files for each upper-lower case pair (although as my last comment shows git on my computer still seems to recognize the difference). It seems possible to convert OS X to be case sensitive but it's not a trivial change. Sadly, BridgeDB is developed to be run on Linux-based servers… if you still want to test it out, the easiest thing might be to use VirtualBox or another similar virtualisation tool to make a Linux VM (preferably Debian).
