For sure, there are zillions of cell phones using small touchscreens,
and in screens and chips, the volume of sales defines the cost, not the
features.

I'm willing to bet a beer that the screen on the Touch is cheaper than a
similar quality screen without touch abilities.

There are also other costs to consider. If Logitech was to use a touch
screen in their fancy remote controls, then using the same screen in the
SqueezeBox Touch could end up being cheaper, as the engineers already
know the details of how to design for the screen.
