Had a more careful listen today. As a result, although the SBT internal dac is certainly very good (for the money, and even regardless of price), it remains different enough from my own dacs. So, I'll be keeping my dacs (Northstar and Caiman) for various reasons, mainly for the extra smoothness of the Italian beauty and the mid-bass immediateness of the latter. SBT is somewhere between the two, but I don't see the interest of it at the moment. Perhaps a long-run listen will show otherwise.
