I can imagine some sort of burn in for speakers when they are new since they have some moving parts. I can imagine letting your equipment warm to the operating temperature might make some difference. Maybe 5 minutes. I can also imagine letting electronics run for a few days when you get them might held you uncover any defects in manufacturing quicker since things typically fail in the first few days.
