Every time the touch boots up from power off/reboot, it goes through a "Discovering files" routine. Why it needs to do this I don't know, it is one thing that completely ruins the user experience of the Touch. I've just timed a reboot (short press of button on the rear) 1 TB Western Digital powered HD 29,015 tracks, mixed flac & mp3. All artwork embedded.
