I'm unsure the interface may be abused by third party apps etc ,another one is 9090 for cli interface. On my desktop i'm a bit relaxed re the squeezeboxes, so I have created a fw rule to allow all conections from that particular ip adress and I use static ip in my network. ssh and scp is port 22 ? if you use that . if one uses the Touch in standalone mode one would also have to make sure that the fw is open for samba (smb) so that you can transfer files to it. -- Mnyb -------------------------------------------------------------------- Main hifi: Touch + CIA PS +MeridianG68J MeridianHD621 MeridianG98DH 2 x MeridianDSP5200 MeridianDSP5200HC 2 xMeridianDSP3100 +Rel Stadium 3 sub.
