You can pop an issue into JIRA if you like. We've discussed it and there
are all sorts of checks that could be performed, such as checking a
stated checksum in the manifest with a calculated checksum on the user
side, but we haven't started any of that work.

Currently there is nothing to check and corruption can happen at this
point in time.
