Perhaps, to some degree at least; but after watching "Diary of a Mad Black Woman" ---and the special features---in the past week (this is what happens when you don't tend to your Netflix queue for months on end), which was a product of Tyler Perry Studios, produced by Tyler Perry, introducing Tyler Perry, and I'm sure had some other role or two that involved Tyler Perry (aside from 'Joe' and 'Madea'), I have to conclude that many things involving Tyler Perry are an acquired taste. After all, when you feel the need to reassure the audience that Steve Harris is the only other man besides yourself who has had a woman in your bed [having your lavish personal home double as a film set], you're pretty much on the way to a Sean P.D. Combs-size ego journey.
