Even though the cattle calls were held last month. Even though "Idol"
would love for you to think that everyone in those ballpark stands get
to see Simon, Kara, Space Girl and Dawg that same day, those people
actually see PAs who weed out the merely mediocre and send the truly
good, truly bad and truly wacko to the judges weeks later--during
which time footage is shot for those profile pieces on the audition
shows.
