I'm going to still argue that Loonatics was a bad idea in both conception
and execution. (The eventual cartoon wasn't good on its merits, and even in
its secondary mission to help WB monetize the Looney Tunes IP was bad
precisely because of the backlash.) That said, CN and TW has finally found
out that they need to do something if they don't want the characters to fall
out of public consciousness forever. And it's unlikely CN will air the
originals again. (I'm going to assume the ratings for the Looney Tunes show
on CN were abysmal given how quickly it was yanked from the schedule --
quicker than even JLU was when it returned in 2009.) Plus, the cartoons
actually look old now, thanks to how differently animation is done today vs
then (no more ink or paint), which might turn off today's audience, too.

Anyway, the subject of that CBC story, the Ottawa animator has a blog and a
Twitter acct., of course.
