Ms. Fey did mention things had been going on for a couple of hours, when the 
broadcast was scheduled for 90 minutes.

Wonder if the Emmy explains a relative lack of funny from some presenters.

In accepting the Kennedy Center's Mark Twain Prize for American Humor
last week, Tina Fey made mock praise of conservative women (like Sarah
Palin) and their influence on women's rights before concluding that in
reality "the whole thing's a disaster."  However, those remarks were
edited from the PBS telecast of the event Sunday night--the net says
that the event ran 20 minutes over and they had to edit several
presenters (and the below link has a link to Fey's unedited speech ON
