I was going from a conversation I had with someone that knows the business,
but it was a few years before that article. We were talking about Jon
Stewart's future and she said that he would go to network TV in a
heartbeat. She said that the pay and conditions in basic cable were much
worse than any network show. I guess things changed in the interim.
