The last two nights, I saw something really disturbing on the CBS Evening
News.

Tuesday, as part of their coverage of the Starbucks brouhaha, Jeff Glor
talked live to Starbucks "board member and CBS News contributor Mellody
Hobson." Her contribution to CBS News here was to present Starbucks in the
best possible light.

Then, on Wednesday, CBS covered JPMorgan Chase opening a bunch of branches
in Washington, DC. Part of that was a Glor interview with bank CEO Jamie
Dimon, who once again got to state his company's position without much
pushback.

I'm sure PR people are drooling as they do their best to get executives on
the Evening News without worrying about their clients being made to look
bad. It doesn't speak well for CBS News, though.
