** Description changed: Running 8.10b (Ubuntu) from live-cd, when I attempt to play a media file (movie, music) from the Examples folder on the Desktop, none of the - files will play (e.g. Nelson Mandella on Ubuntu, Jazz sax). Error - message is: invalid stream. + files will play (e.g. Experience ubuntu.ogg, fables_0101_aesop.spx, + ubuntu Sax.ogg). Totem Movie Player error message is: Failed to connect + stream: Invalid argument. When I attempt to play media files from the hard drive of the system, the permissions are not set to allow that. (That may have to do with security, but still inconvenient.)
