Public bug reported: As soon as I log into X, Xorg takes about 60 % of CPU and gnome- settings-daemon about 40 % (it's a dual core machine), and it does not stop even after half an hour.
Stopping (or killing) gnome-settings-daemon stops this (also for Xorg). Using Intrepid. This problem started after a reboot due to last night's updates. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- gnome-settings-daemon makes Xorg use all CPU https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/294501 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
