Affects 12.04 LTS clean install, on x64 too. The crash happens while clicking on "Load' button on "Restore" screen.
After doing "sudo apt-get install hal" as suggested by fabrice, the issue does not come up again. This can be an official workaround. ** Tags added: precise -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/729658 Title: aptoncd crashed with DBusException in call_blocking(): org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name org.freedesktop.Hal was not provided by any .service files To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/aptoncd/+bug/729658/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
