Public bug reported: CTRL ALT END should give the quit/shutdown screen option (the same as the option in menu, which allows you the option to suspend, restart, shutdown etc). However, instead, it gives a fully blacked-out screen. I have to press ESC to get out of it. So, instead I have to go to the start menu, and click the red button to shutdown my computer.
I'm sure that the option on ctrl alt end should be the same as the menu option to shutdown. Let me know if you need more information, etc. Cheers, Mauro ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 24.04 Package: cinnamon 6.0.4-4 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 6.8.0-47.47-generic 6.8.12 Uname: Linux 6.8.0-47-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.28.1-0ubuntu3.1 Architecture: amd64 CasperMD5CheckResult: unknown CurrentDesktop: X-Cinnamon Date: Wed Oct 30 21:14:23 2024 ProcEnviron: LANG=en_US.UTF-8 LANGUAGE=en_US PATH=(custom, no user) SHELL=/bin/bash XDG_RUNTIME_DIR=<set> SourcePackage: cinnamon UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: cinnamon (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug noble -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2085911 Title: CTRL + ALT + END gives a "black screen" To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cinnamon/+bug/2085911/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
