How I reached this point... I was performing a fresh install on my new PC with a bootable USB stick containing Ubuntu Studio 24.04 but it didn't work because of problems with the installer (explained here: https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2502198). So I decided to fresh install 22.04.05 instead and then doing a 'do- release-upgrade' to install 24.04 LTS. While doing this I ran into the conflict between these two packages. I hope this helps.
