Public bug reported:

Using xfce4-weather-plugin 0.11.2-1build2 in Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS I was
not getting weather data. That means there was no current conditions or
forecast available. I could configure the plugin, searching for
locations and selecting them from a list, but weather data never arrived
automatically and refresh never succeeded.

This is a known issue at Xfce:

I installed xfce4-weather-plugin_0.11.3-1_amd64.deb from
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xfce4-weather-
plugin/0.11.3-1/+build/30426584 and that works. This is a release for
ununtu 25.04 but it works in 24.04.2.
