I updated to Ubuntu 26.04 and tested this on kernel 7.0.0-15-generic: The issue persists unchanged. D-PHY errors continue at ~400/second (419 callbacks suppressed every 5 seconds):
intel_ipu6_isys.isys intel_ipu6.isys.40: csi2-0 error: DPHY recoverable synchronization error intel_ipu6_isys.isys intel_ipu6.isys.40: csi2-0 error: Single packet header error corrected intel_ipu6_isys.isys intel_ipu6.isys.40: csi2-0 error: Payload checksum (CRC) error This has now been confirmed on 3 separate MC16250 units, ruling out hardware defect as the cause. Note: linux-modules-v4l2loopback-generic-hwe-26.04 is not installed by default on kernel 7, causing [email protected] to fail silently — the camera won't appear at all until that package is manually installed. This may be a separate packaging bug. Regarding commit ad12f6f914a49: if this implements 749 MHz support, it does not appear to have resolved the D-PHY errors in practice on kernel 7.0.0-15-generic. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2144008 Title: Dell Pro Max 16 MC16250 (OV08X40 / OVTI08F4): Persistent CSI-2 D-PHY errors cause severely distorted camera output To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-oem-6.17/+bug/2144008/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
