I live in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, though I'll be moving to Stafford for the term time in 6 months. I'm a student at Staffs uni reading Computer Science, currently I'm on an industrial placement at Britannia Building Society (Computing Weekly's best IS place to work 2005) doing different things. I've been a Sys Admin and DBA and I've just joined the Middleware/Application support team. I've also developed team websites using LAMP + javascript. I mainly use a Compaq Evo N410C laptop but also have a MSI Mega PC desktop running Ubuntu, which I mainly just use for gaming these days, despite it's aging graphics chip. I use Ubuntu for all of my day to day computing stuff except for gaming (pacman clones and gnome-games being the exception that proves the rule). My contribution to ubuntu so far has been bug triage, a couple of patches to the ubuntu documentation and a little bit of support via IRC/LP/forums. I'm also a pretty inactive GNOME bugsquad "member".
