sparc with a gui.
rather difficult for me but i get somehow started working with command line
etc..it.s just good to get used to know where to get information in the first
place.do you know anybody who is into sparc linux or busy with building a linux
recording studio?

I presume it does not have a usb connection on the back? If so try that
maybe?

The other thing you could try is just select standard 102(I think) key
keyboard just incase it is a key mapping problem which is a bug.

Please read this as I believe it maybe help you:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/console-setup/+bug/83487

      cheers

Ok then, well is there any consistency to the letters and symbols, ie
if you press the “w” key and you then get a “:” does it stay like that if you
press the w key again?

I presume its is a normal uk qwerty keyboard?

sorry daniel.no result is not correct.it's rather that the mapping is
completely chaotic and you get all kind of letters and symbols on the most
unexpected key.
