Thank you for taking the time to report this bug. To have any chance to find 
out what the underlying problem is, we need a few files from you attached to 
this bug report:
- the output of the command `lspci -vvnn` (identifies your hardware more 
precisely)
- /etc/X11/xorg.conf
- /var/log/Xorg.0.log
- the output of `dmesg`

For the two last files, it would be nice if we could have multiple
versions: One from after you log in but before you run the test program,
one from after you ran the test program the first time (and state if
this broke anything), and one after the test program breaks your X. This
way, we can see what lines were added to the logs at each stage.
