Well, yeah when you switch between different window managers, the new window manager has to recreate all the window decorations. That's why the borders and buttons disappear. The panel is part of the window manager too, so when switching WM's that'll disappear too. So, so far it isn't sounding like an X issue actually.
Maybe it would help if you write down the exact steps you do to reproduce the issue, and indicate expected / actual results. ** Changed in: xorg (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete ** Changed in: xorg (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => New -- borders and panels disappears whenever appearance is changed https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/682986 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
