I can confirm this, happens to me too. If its from importance my graphics controller is: VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/GMS, 943/940GML Express Integrated Graphics Controller.
I switched from jaunty to testing because of bug #315542. Now I traded hangs with crashes and kind of went from rain into monsoon.
