nvidia-173 version 173.14.28 is now out, and it also fails to build the kernel module nvidia-173.ko with kernels 2.6.35 and 2.6.36 (as reported in bug #694200), although it works with kernel 2.6.32-24. The error message from the make.log.txt file is slightly different. (Here is a more complete bug report for the 173.14.28 failure to build: bug #660756)
