I didn't post my Hardware layout here it is: mobo Asus M2N SLI - AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4600+ 2400Mhz - 2GB RAM DDR2 667 - GPU: Nvidia Gforce 8400GS 256MB - HD WD 250 GB - Monitor: LG Flatron 1953S 19" I don't know if it helps but I am posting this info as reference. I have discovered that this problem is related also to: Archlinux, Chakra Linux, OpenSuse, PCLinuxOS, Mandriva & Linuxconsole in my case, the same results, till 253.xx.xx series works ok, from 260.06.xx till last one 260.19.29 break the X.
