You have been subscribed to a public bug: I have recently upgraded from Ubuntu 10.10 to 11.04. Now whenever I try to play a movie on either VLC or Totem my system crashes and I am logged out. This usually happens when I try to adjust the volume or if I l try to move the movie on through the time-line. It also happens when I leave the application alone and just let it play. The screen goes to black but I don't have time to read what is on it and I cannot take a print screen. I have seen suggestions telling me to backup my data and do a clean install but I really don't want to do that. Does anyone know if there is a roll back possibility?
