Hi, I'm on a Macbook2,1 with Intel GM945 chipset. I confirm that with Karmic alpha 3, the behaviour of the brightness controls is much better. I cannot, however, turn the backlight all the way off using the hotkeys as Tim claims to have done. This is a minor issue, however. In general, Karmic works *heaps* better with the Intel GMA945 than Jaunty.
