Can this have something to do with utouch/grail? I found the line: (II) ETPS/2 Elantech Touchpad: failed to open grail, no gesture support when running 2.6.39 liquorix kernel. The line is not there when running stock 3.0 kernel, so maybe grail is taking over the touchpad and it does not have the full support?
