@ Julio A. Garcia Lopez Well, you blame Canonical for not updating Kubuntu, which I think is kind of unfair. Canonical is responsible for Ubuntu. Kubuntu is more a community project supported by Canonical. Of course you can have a try with Debian, at least then there is no company at all to blame ;)
But I also cannot understand why the bugfix which is long available is not in the repositories yet. And "wait for the next release or install the ppa" is not a good excuse, I agree. Because in the next release there will always be another bug like this and then you tell the users to wait for the release afterwards to get the fix. The user does never get a bug-free version if you continue like this.
