*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 973096 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/973096
This bug also affects me. I have a core i5 2430M using the intel driver. Initially I thought this to be a problem with the intel drivers, but seeing people with amd and nvidia cards have the same problem I don't know where to point my finger. Its not the DE, as this has happened with both KDE, unity and gnome 3 in ubuntu 12.04. In dmesg lines like these appear: Xorg[11692]: segfault at 7ffb00000011 ip 00007ffbc0ab11b8 sp 00007fff56de3090 error 4 in Xorg[7ffbc0989000+1f0000] The crashes seem to happen randomly, although more frequently just after waking from suspend, often just seconds after unlocking the screen. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/980519 Title: Random log off in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/980519/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
