In comments to bug 1068661 was proposed workaround which works for me. Here is what I've done: 1. Switch back to open-source driver. 2. Issued $ sudo apt-get install linux-header-generic command 3. Switched to AMD proprietary driver (fglrx-updates) 4. Rebooted.
After reboot Unity works as expected, and application which uses OpenCL correctly displays both CPU and GPU devices. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to fglrx-installer in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1069668 Title: 1002:6758 Unity does not work with proprietary AMD video drivers Radeon HD 6670 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/fglrx-installer/+bug/1069668/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
